Red, pink, and white star-shaped flowers with long trumpet necks are a beautiful contrast to the Cypress Vine’s green and elegant fern-like leaves. Plant these beautiful vines along a fence line or next to another vertical structure so they can climb and thrive.  This flower is a favorite of hummingbirds.

Planting: Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours prior to planting. Sow seeds ½ inch deep and 12-15” apart.

Care: Train vines by tucking them back and guiding them so that they don’t get out of control or get overgrown.

Special Instructions/Tips: Use a trellis, pole, fence line. or other vertical structure so that these vigorous vines can grow up, up, up!

Germination: 12 – 17 days

Preferences: Plenty of water, full sun, well-draining soil

• Although it is uncertain exactly where Cypress Vine originated, it is believed that they got their start in the tropical regions of South and Central America. 

• A great attractant for butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds.
