Moonflower – White Seeds

These beautiful nocturnal bloomers produce gorgeous 5” white papery blooms that let off a wonderfully sweet fragrance.  Their vines grow 10-20’ long and have large heart-shaped leaves. The plants like to climb so be sure to provide them with a trellis, lattice, fence, or other structure that allows them to grow up, up, up!

Planting Info:  Nick seed or soak overnight before planting.  Plant seeds 1/2” deep 8” apart along fence line or trellis.  Avoid using to much nitrogen fertilizer.  Too much nitrogen reduces blooming.

Preference: moderate water, full/partial sun, tolerates poor soil

• The Moonflower is native to the tropical and subtropical areas of South and Central America.

• It is related to Morning Glory, which blooms in early afternoon instead of early evening.

• Flowers curl up during the day and look similar to unicorn horns.
