The handles are made out of rubber/ silicone type material which is very comfortable to hold on to and keeps you from burning your fingers. The pots are normal weight (not too light or too heavy), and you can tell they are of good quality. Sturdy construction with firm handles and vented lids. The pans are slightly downsized from most sets (9.5" saute pan vs. 10") If I was cooking for a family, I would want a different set, but it is great for us. Owing to the rich and vibrant appearance, the cookware set looks really pretty and goes well with almost any kitchen decor scheme. It’s just the opposite.
